The Children's ToothFairy Foundation provides dental funding to the underserved children
of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

We have partnered with the University of Detroit/ Mercy School of Dentistry and hope to partner with University of Michigan and Children's Hospital once our budget grows.

Because of the current economic effects on the State of Michigan, many families can no longer afford any type of dental insurance for their children. Give Kids a Smile day provides an excellent service for one day a year. While this is an excellent program, children need dental care all year around. That’s where Children's ToothFairy Foundation steps in. We provide dental funding 365 days a year in hopes of turning these statistics around.

Many dental providers and organizations do not accept Medicaid because it is not cost efficient. Children's ToothFairy Foundation can provide funding for care at a University or hospital setting at an agreed fee slightly above that reimbursed by Medicaid.

This has proven to be a win-win situation. The university gains a greater patient population base for treatment, the child receives treatment at no charge, and the family receives a dental education component as part of the program.

We request that Medicaid be accessed if available and the balance will be paid thru Children's ToothFairy Foundation funding.
